COVID-19 Guidlines:

Our number one priority is keeping our students, staff and families safe and healthy here at North Shore Performing Arts Center. In order to do so, we have put the following guidelines in place. By working together, we can stay safe and have fun dancing together.
Release Form
  • All families will need to have a signed release form before participating in class. The form was e-mailed to you if you are registered for a class. Please sign and return the form via e-mail to or bring a hard copy to your first class.
Arrival & Dismissal
  • In order to limit the number of people in the lobby, parents must drop off their child outside and remain in their cars or outside at pick up time.
  • Dancers will be required to wear a mask when entering, throughout common areas and exiting the studio.
  • We will check the temperature of anyone who enters the studio with a (no-touch) temporal scanner. Anybody with a temperature higher than 99.9 will be asked to return home.
  • All dancers will be given hand sanitizer when they enter and exit the studio.
    • Hand washing will remain available as well.
  • Street shoes are to be left in the lobby (dressing room will be closed).
  • Please limit belongings to a small bag.
  • Dancers will be required to bring their own, pre-filled, water bottles to avoid contact with the water fountain.
Class Routine
  • Classes will be limited to 8-12 dancers, depending on the studio room, to allow them plenty of room to spread out in class.
  • We have updated the schedule to allow for staggered class start and end times. This will limit the amount of students coming in and out of the studio at a given time.
  • The dance floor will be marked with a 6' x 6' grid to ensure that dancers will remain socially distanced from one another.
  • Our teachers remain committed to creating a positive, constructive and healthy environment. All teachers will wear a mask. Verbal instruction will be given throughout class, but they will not be giving hands-on corrections.
  • Dance floors and high touch areas will be cleaned between classes and at the end of each day.
  • Bathrooms will be disinfected frequently throughout the day.
  • We have installed the Reme-Halo U.V. in-duct air purifier!
    • This technology produces hydro-peroxide plasma and uses ultra-violet light to purify surfaces and the air inside your dwelling.

  • As per Governor Cuomo's guidelines, if you are traveling out of the country or to any of the following states that he has listed, please zoom into class for 14 days, after returning to NY, before entering the studio.
